The “Healthy Foresters: An Introduction to Industrial Hygiene in the Logging Industry” programme was successfully held by the Faculty of Applied Sciences, UiTM Terengganu Campus Bukit Besi, at Dewan Perak. The session, conducted by Mr. Ahmad Bazli Bin Razali.
Participants were introduced to industrial hygiene in logging, covering risks such as wood dust, chemicals, extreme temperatures, and ergonomic issues. The programme highlighted the importance of control measures based on the Hierarchy of Control, proper PPE usage, and health promotion efforts to ensure a safer working environment. The support and attendance of faculty members contributed to the success of the programme.
