The session aimed to inform industry players about the strengthening of the Malaysian Timber Legality Assurance System (MyTLAS) and preparations for the upcoming enforcement of the EUDR across the timber product supply chain from Peninsular Malaysia. The European Union is set to enforce the EUDR starting December 2025. The session was attended by 145 participants including representatives from the Ministry of Plantation and Commodities (KPK), Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability (NRES), MyTLAS Implementing Agencies (AP-MyTLAS), State Forestry Department officials, Malaysian Timber Council (MTC), timber associations, and key industry players. The event was officiated by YBrs. Tuan Saiful Bahri bin Salleh, Director-General of MTIB, with the presence of YBrs. Tuan Mazlan bin Othman, Senior Division Secretary, Wood-Based Industry, Tobacco, and Kenaf Development Division, Ministry of Plantation and Commodities.
