KPKKT welcomed a group of 49 students from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Forestry, for their practical training under the Forest Science subject in their second year. The visit was organized by the Department of Forest Science and Biodiversity, Faculty of Forestry and Environment, UPM. During the two-day session, students were exposed to hands-on activities including a tree felling demonstration using a log fisher, slope measurement, Pre-F plot establishment in Hutan Simpan Jengai, and data collection at the GP Forest Plantation nursery site. KPKKT remains committed to providing real-world education and practical experience in sustainable forest management, particularly through the implementation of the Selective Management System (SMS). The strong collaboration with Universiti Putra Malaysia will continue to be enhanced in nurturing future leaders in forestry.
