KPKKT was invited by the Faculty of Forestry and Environment, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), to conduct a sharing session titled “KPKKT’s Commitment to Forest Certification” for second-year Bachelor of Forestry Science (Hons) students enrolled in the Forest Management course (BSHdK). The talk was delivered by Puan Arnina binti Rahmad, Head of Operations at KPKKT, and supported by Puan W. Norakma binti W. Yusoff, Head of Compliance and Certification at KPKKT. The session highlighted KPKKT’s best practices in sustainable forest management and its experience in meeting the requirements of Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification. The session featured an engaging discussion and Q&A session, where students explored real-world challenges in implementing certification standards and the vital role of concession companies like KPKKT in ensuring the sustainability of the nation’s forests. The enthusiastic response from students reflected their strong interest and eagerness to understand the realities of the forestry industry.
