KPKKT conducted a courtesy visit to Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) to strengthen strategic collaboration in research and development related to forest resource management and the tropical timber industry. The delegation was warmly received by Professor Dr. Azlizam Aziz, Dean of the Faculty of Forestry and Environment, who shared expertise in wood biotechnology, biomass innovation, and the application of digital technologies in forest monitoring. KPKKT views UPM as a key academic partner in driving the transformation of the timber industry in Terengganu through technology adoption, expert training, and human capital development. This collaboration is expected to support the state's aspirations toward sustainable natural resource management and increased competitiveness of local resource-based industries.
