Terengganu Timber Management Group (KPKKT) has participated in the Mitigation and Human-Tiger Conflict (HTC) Sharing Program, organized by Panthera Wild Cat Conservation Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. The program was attended by more than 30 participants from various agencies, including the Terengganu State Forestry Department, the Department of Wildlife and National Parks (Perhilitan) of Terengganu, the Terengganu State Veterinary Services Department, the Terengganu State Park Management Council, the Terengganu State Agriculture Department, the Terengganu Tengah Development Authority (KETENGAH), Universiti Malaysia Terengganu, and District and Land Offices in Terengganu. The program also featured a guest representative from the South Rift Association of Landowners (SORALO), an agency actively managing human-wildlife conflict in Kenya. The objective of this program was to provide a platform for stakeholders involved in human-wildlife conflict issues in Terengganu, with a focus on the districts of Kemaman, Dungun, Hulu Terengganu, Setiu, and Besut, to discuss human-tiger conflict and jointly develop interventions to address this issue.
